Our attention has been drawn to the spurious allegation circulating round the social media sphere that Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing, @Innosonmotors sacked over 50% of its workforce due to low production and patronage. At first, we initially thought it wise that these allegations don’t worth our response but with a lot of enquiries from our teeming customers and clients, we have decided to state the true position.
1). At no time did we sack over 50% of our workforce or did any form of retrenchment both in our Nnewi or Enugu factory, rather we have engaged more hands to meet the demands of our new expansion activities. We would be hiring an additional 1500 workforce in April. The general public is hereby advised to ignore the rumour of sacking of workers.
We are committed to driving the Nigeria economy forward through industrialization. It’s not an easy mission, but certainly one that we are prepared to put in everything we’ve got to make happen!
2). Furthermore, Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing which is the first wholly made in Nigeria automobile brand is focusing on eradicating tokunbo (foreign used) automobiles from Africa by making durable and affordable brand new automobiles for Nigeria.
To realize this agenda for Nigerians the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing, Chief Innocent Chukwuma has reduced the prices of our Saloon cars to enable Nigerians who are desirous of buying a brand new car be able to afford that.
We therefore urge all Nigerians to embrace this initiative as we are committed in flushing out tokunbo vehicles in Nigeria, just as we did with motorcycles. Our cars all come with full options with automatic transmissions, not manual. So, it’s a gradual process to crashing our prices further.
We still have other factors to contend with that are peculiar to the Nigerian business environment. As manufacturing conditions improve, our goal is to continue passing on the cost savings to our customers thereby driving our prices lower. This is a journey…these are our 1st steps, not the last. We will get there as we did with motorcycles!
